There are a few requirements you need to follow on the day of export, what are they?
Key considerations
- Wait for Confirmation: Do not bring materials until we confirm a date and time with you.
- Approval Requirement: Some shipments may require an "Okay to Send" as part of the approval process. Exports cannot proceed until approval is granted (see: Approval Process: What Can I Expect?).
- Optimised Transit Time: We prioritise minimising transit time and ensuring prompt delivery, which may not always mean selecting the next available shipping day.
Preparing your samples for drop-off
Once a date is confirmed, ensure your samples are properly labelled and packed according to their temperature requirements. For example:
- Dry Ice Shipments: Deliver samples in a labeled thermal container/eskie with enough dry ice to maintain temperature for a few hours.
- Refrigerated (2°–8°): Deliver samples in a labeled thermal container/eskie with sufficient gel packs to keep them cool for a few hours.
-
Room Temperature Shipments: Deliver samples in a labeled container.
- Labeling: Include the sender’s name or ticket number on the label and place on the outside of the container.
Where are we located?
You can find us in the hot desk area on Level 1W, near the 1W-16 meeting room.
All exports and outgoing shipments must be placed on the dedicated shipping bench in the drop-off area. Please notify a logistics staff member once your delivery is made.
